Dilworth Park to Host Three Days of Oktoberfest Celebrations.October 20, 2014 | by Brooke Willmes
Fall is officially in full swing and the freshly renovated Dilworth Park at City Hall will be joining in on all the festivities going on around the city. Oktoberfest will becoming to Dilworth Park on October 18, 23, and 25 for the first annual event. At the heart of the event will be a beer garden that will be hosted by the onsite Rosa Blanca Cafe. Please not that the beer garden will be cash only so come prepared! This will also be a family friendly event with a host of activities to do. The Franklin Institute will be on hand with science demonstrations, Zipcar will host a face painting and balloon station. On hand will also be the creative folks from the Mural Arts Program. They will walk quest through pumpkin painting, print-making and several other make and take crafts. There will be a DJ and a variety of different vendors on hand. The event will be pay as you go and will run from noon until 6pm on both October 18 and 25 and from 6 to 8pm on Thursday, October 23. If you have not made your way to the new Dilworth Park this is your chance to join in on all the Fall fun that will be going on this month at the new park.
